Or, perhaps the leaders of this philosophy get it only too well and simply have no interest in leaving their neighbors alone in their pursuit of their own happiness.

If the latter theory is correct, then Statists are much too ambitious, arrogant, and agressive to live and let live. If they can find ways to dominate their neighbors, they will do so. I imagine the first State to have had its origin in conquest and subjugation. If I am correct, then the subjugation continues to this very day in the form of, as Larry Reed put it, “force-based political action over spontaneous, peaceful, and voluntary initiatives.”

Conformity, singularity, regimentation, unquestioning obedience, and centralization are the watchwords of the Statists. They look for support in the custom-designed brainwashing in the public schools. And the people believe in it and hang themselves with their own rope. That’s where Libertarians come in.
