Galton is often maligned quite unfairly.
That aside, yeah, government schools suck.
When will people learn? Never. They don’t want to. They like being ignorant, they’re built for a pre-civilized past and they care about being popular – not right (especially on matters that they have no practical influence over).
The answer? Eugenics!
